Why is this heritage place so significant? In this project video Eleanor Banaag, Senior Associate, shares the story behind Extent’s work at the site. She also gives us insight into how fulfilling it was for her on a personal and professional level.

“This heritage place is significant because the overlay of fortifications shows the development of defence techniques and methodologies better than anywhere else in Australia. Extent Heritage provided a range of heritage services for this project. Due to the harsh coastal environment, steel reinforcing within the concrete structures was starting to corrode and deteriorate the concrete. The program was to repair that concrete sympathetically so that the public could enjoy this site again.” Eleanor Banaag explains.
