Heritage is meeting the Digital Age at Extent Heritage!

We work on large complex heritage places across the country, and the managers of those sites would prefer not to carry a heavy printed Heritage Management Plan around with them. So, when we were engaged (with Lovell Chen) to prepare a Heritage Management Plan for the World Heritage Listed Fremantle Prison, we thought ‘digital’ and ‘online’.

The final product was a fully digitised document, with tabs and drop-down lists, that managers can access on-site with a tablet or mobile phone. An issue in Building 14? Click on the building. A problem with the masonry? Click on the tab. Managers can access crucial information with clicks and swipes, without the burden of a hard copy report under the arm.

We are excited about this innovative way of communicating heritage management advice to the people who deal with everyday issues... every day.
