New appointment to NSW Heritage Committee

Congratulations to Extent Heritage Senior Associate Jennifer Castaldi on her appointment to the Australian Institute of Architects NSW Chapter Heritage Committee.

Members of this advisory committee are of a high calibre and we, of course, know that Jennifer will be a valuable addition and be an instrumental part of the rejuvenation of the NSW Chapter committees.

Jennifer is a registered architect with particular skills in built heritage. She has worked in both government and private practice, preparing documentation, specifications, and applications for approvals for heritage works at places of local and state significance, and has experience in project management, archival recording, design advice, and maintenance scheduling.

A passion and one of Jennifer’s specialist skills is the adaptive re-use of heritage places.

Pictured below is Jennifer Castaldi at the Longford Academy in Tasmania. It’s a twice yearly hands on workshop to learn traditional skills in heritage conservation, in this case, the forming of lead flashing and soldering sheet metal for roofing and guttering.
