Experience
Laressa Barry is an archaeologist experienced in the identification, assessment and management of Aboriginal heritage and historical sites throughout New South Wales and regional Australia. She is skilled in the preparation of Aboriginal and historical archaeological assessments, research designs, impact assessments, and post-excavation reporting.
Laressa is experienced in undertaking historical research, Aboriginal and historical excavation, artefact analysis and cataloguing, and Aboriginal community consultation. She has a sound understanding of Commonwealth and state legislation, local planning controls, and best-practice heritage principles. Laressa can also perform preliminary stone artefact identification and analysis—particularly microscopic use-wear analysis of Australian raw stone materials.
