Experience
Kim is a heritage advisor with a range of experience in the heritage profession, including research, heritage impact assessment, condition and fabric analysis, archival photography, heritage interpretation content development, and collection management and auditing.

Over the last two years Kim has been involved in several large-scale projects within New South Wales, providing strategic heritage advice to state government agencies for a range of asset types. This has included various impact assessments for Sydney Trains, the identification and documentation of Roads and Maritime Services’ movable heritage collections, and assistance with the management of John Holland Rail’s heritage assets. Kim has also been involved in authoring conservation management plans for Sydney Water and WaterNSW.

Currently, Kim is working on the Cumberland Council Heritage Study. Experiences such as these have allowed her to undertake complex projects with the aim of providing innovative and sympathetic heritage outcomes.While completing her master’s degree in heritage conservation at the University of Sydney (2016–2018), Kim completed a research thesis on the role of state agencies in the management of movable heritage, exploring keys issues in a sustainable and strategic approach to collection management. As part of her studies, Kim developed valuable skills in research design, fabric analysis, and assessing the significance of both objects and built heritage places.
